As the owner of the Gamacho washing station, Tadesse Yonka has been involved in the coffee industry for over 20 years as a local supplier and processor of Sidama coffee. With a team of 70 seasonal and daily workers hired for tasks such as selective purchasing, transporting, pulping, sorting, and drying cherries or parchment, Tadesse has established a strong rapport with his growers. Over time, the number of registered farmers has grown to 250 who rely on Tadesse's expertise at the Gamacho washing station. Apart from skill-building training in coffee production, Tadesse also helps them in setting up their own coffee nurseries and offers incentives for supplying high-quality cherries.
