This single producer lot of natural caffeinated magic is the result of a new program from Keffa Coffee that we are super excited to be a part of. This late harvest natural is bright, clean, and has all the fruits you can handle!
Keffa Coffee was founded in 2006 by owner Samuel Demisse. Samuel was born and raised in Ethiopia. His father was a coffee professional and taught Samuel about the industry at a young age. Samuel has competed in the United States Coffee Cup Tasters Championship. Drawing on decades-long relationships, we work closely with our partners to make sure each coffee we import is up to our standards.
Through these close connections, we can improve processing methods, export sorting and bringing coffees to the level of Zero Defect. We are deeply invested in and committed to the growth of the specialty coffee community. The end results of which bring us closer to the people growing this amazing coffee in the plants birthplace.
Grind: Medium Coarse (on Baratza Encore / Virtuoso 17)
Water: 300ml of at 202 degrees Fahrenheit
Bloom: 40ml of water saturating the coffee. Let sit for 1 minute 2nd Pour: Pour in circles until your at 100ml
Final Pulse Pours: Add 20-40ml of water each pour until reaching 300ml. Allow coffee to drain almost fully between pours.
Final Brew Time: 3-4 minutes
